Reveal vs Explo: Embedded Analytics Comparison for SaaS
Explo was acquired by Omni and its platform is being retired as customers migrate. Reveal is a true embedded analytics SDK you deploy inside your own stack — full white-label control, 30+ data sources, and one fixed price. Compare architecture, deployment, AI, and pricing before you inherit someone else’s migration.
USED BY SOFTWARE COMPANIES DELIVERING EMBEDDED ANALYTICS WORLDWIDE.
Is Explo still a safe choice for embedded analytics?
As of August 2026: Omni acquired Explo in October 2025, and Omni has stated it will migrate the majority of Explo customers onto Omni before sunsetting the Explo platform. If you are on Explo, a migration is already scheduled. Reveal is a true embedded analytics SDK — you host it, you brand it, and you pay one fixed price.
Why Teams Are Moving Off Explo
Explo built a product teams genuinely liked — fast to stand up, clean dashboards, low engineering lift. The reason teams are leaving is not the product. It is that the platform they built on now belongs to someone else, and the migration is not optional. That makes this the one moment to ask whether a hosted analytics service was ever the right architecture for a product feature.
Roadmap Continuity
Build on a platform that isn’t being retired. Reveal has shipped under Infragistics for years, and Infragistics has been building developer tools for 35+ years.
Your Infrastructure
Deploy in your cloud, on-premises, or hybrid. Your customers’ data stays on your side of the boundary.
One Fixed Price
Unlimited users, unlimited dashboards, all 30+ data sources. No per-user fees. No repricing at renewal.

Why Reveal Is Better Than Explo
An architectural, capability, and economic comparison for engineering teams who care about ownership and security.
How Is Reveal Different From Explo Architecturally?
Explo gives you two ways to embed: a web component that loads Explo’s bundle, or an iframe. Either way, your customers’ analytics is rendered by Explo’s hosted service and served from Explo’s infrastructure.
Reveal works the other way around. You install an SDK built for your framework and deploy the Reveal server component into your own environment — cloud, on-premises, or hybrid. The query path, the rendering, and the data never leave your stack. That is the difference between analytics that lives in your product and analytics that lives in someone else’s and appears in yours.
Can I Fully Control the Look and Feel?
Your analytics should look like your product, not like an analytics vendor’s. Explo offers a style configurator for fonts, borders and shadows.
Reveal gives you full white-labeling: remove every trace of Reveal branding, style at the CSS level, and compose the UI from the components you actually want. Nothing on the page tells your customer that a third party built it, because in every meaningful sense your team did.
How Does Pricing Compare?
Explo publishes tiered pricing starting at $1,995 per month, scaling with customer groups and features — and Omni has said pricing gets set again when you migrate. So the cost you are budgeting today has two variables in it: how fast you grow, and what your new vendor decides.
Reveal is one fixed price. Unlimited users, unlimited dashboards, every data source, white-labeling included. Growing from 500 end users to 50,000 does not change the invoice, and no acquisition changes it either.
Which Platform Lets Me Choose My Own AI?
Reveal AI runs on the model you choose — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or your own endpoint — governed by your infrastructure and your data policy. Your analytics SDK should not be the thing that picks your AI vendor, or the thing that sends your customers’ data somewhere you did not approve. With Explo, the AI capability is the vendor’s, on the vendor’s model. If your security review has a question about where prompts and data go, that answer should be yours to give.

The proof of concept was running within hours, and most functionality worked out of the box. We estimated it would have taken nearly two years of development to build what Reveal gave us, so we put that time back into our core expertise: cost modeling.
